Scheme of Fund for Regeneration of Traditional Industries (SFURTI)

This scheme helps to strengthen traditional business by forming associations and provides support to ensure long term sustainability of the sector.

Objective
  • To organize the traditional industries and artisans and producers into collectives and provide them with support in order to make quality and competitive products to ensure long-term sustainability of the sector and its artisans.
Key Benefits
  • Major cluster (500–1000 artisans) can receive up to INR 5 crores financial assistance.
  • Mini cluster (up to 500 artisans) can receive up to INR 2.5 crores financial assistance.
  • NE/J&K/hill states need only half the artisans for same financial assistance limits.
  • Soft interventions alone get financial assistance up to INR 25 lakh.
  • Hard interventions receive up to 75% financial assistance.
  • Technical agency support eligible for up to 5% of intervention cost as assistance.
  • Implementing agency/cluster executive can receive up to INR 20 lakh for related costs.
Eligibility Criteria
  • Applicant must be an institution with expertise in cluster development.
  • NGOs or central/state/semi-government institutions are eligible.
  • Field functionaries of central, state governments or PRIs are also eligible.
